Micah

The Blueprint for Justice and Hope

Micah was a country prophet from a small town in Judah, writing around 735–700 BCE. While his contemporary Isaiah was an insider in the royal court, Micah spoke for the rural poor who were being crushed by the greed of the urban elite and the corruption of religious leaders.

This book isn't about predicting the distant future; it's a legal case against a society that has lost its soul. Micah argues that God isn't impressed by religious rituals if the people behind them are exploiting their neighbors.

For the honest skeptic, Micah offers a surprisingly modern critique of systemic injustice and a vision for a world where 'everyone will sit under their own vine and fig tree,' safe from fear and greed.
